Board Meeting
May 2, 2005
Present: Luz Argyriou, Julia Garcia, Joan Chesterman, Sandi Watson, Sue Kelson, Dana McDaniel, Dee Totman, Joyce Atkinson, JoAnn Caspar, Rosemary Harwood, Audrey Veregge, Barbara Fogerson, Marcia Hart
Call to order: The meeting was called to order by co-president Barbara Fogerson at 7:35 p.m.
Minutes: The minutes of the April 4th Board meeting were accepted as written. The minutes of the April 9th meeting were accepted as corrected.
Treasurers Report: There was no report
Program: The installation of new officers will be held on May 21st at Dee Totman’s home. It is a pot luck luncheon to start at 11:30 a.m. There will be a fundraiser at the Onstage Theater on May 14th.
Membership: We have two new members. Sylvia Rosenthal, and Diane Becker.
EF: no report
LAF: Our branch raised $585 for LAF at the EF/LAF luncheon. Look on the AAUW web site for information about LAF cases.
Tech Trek: On June 11th from 1-3 p.m. at Shadow Hills Club House, Danville, there will be a meeting of the selected Tech Trek girls hosted by the IBC.
Scholarship: The committee is busy reading the applications.
Hospitality: Suzanne Hargis will not be able to continue at this position. Pat Blakley and MaryAnn Nilsen will hold this job for the coming year.
Newsletter: The newsletter will be available on the new web site this coming year. The web site will be named www.ClaytonAAUW.org.
IBC: The next meeting will be a pot luck held May 24th at 6:30 p. m. at the San Ramon library.
District Training: The district training will be held on June 4th at Our Savior Lutheran Church 1035 Carol Lane; the cost will be $10.
Activities: Bowling-Friday May 6th, Ladies Bridge May 11th, Couples Bridge no report , Book Group May 23rd “Birth of Venus”
Other Business: The proposed tickets were shown for the September fashion show and approved. The planning committee is being formed and will meet on May 9th at 1:00. The Old and New Board meeting Pot Luck will be held on June 27th at 6:00 p.m. at JoAnn Caspar’s home.
