Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 7:40 p.m. by co-president JoAnn Caspar.
Treasurer’s Report: The beginning Balance was $4349.47. There was $42.99 income from eScrip. The balance as of 1/31/06 was $4392.46. The report was accepted and filed for audit.
Membership: The new members will be asked to write a biography for the newsletter.
Program: The March general meeting will be a joint meeting with the Concord branch in conjunction with the Clayton Community Library Foundation. The meeting will be held Saturday March 25th at 10:00 a.m. The topic will be “Women in Government”. Several suggestions were made for future programs.
EF: Our February general meeting will be our annual EF luncheon with the Concord branch, on February 25th, at the Brookview Clubhouse. Camellias are needed for decorations. Bring some.
LAF: We are invited to the Orinda Moraga Lafayette Branch meeting where the speaker will be an Assistant Professor in the Woman’s study Program at CSU Fresno. Wednesday, February 15th at 9:30 a.m. at the Orinda Community Church.
Public Policy: New By-laws were passed out with 4 new changes. These changes are in regards to the fusing of EF and LAF and that members can now hold associate or equivalent degrees. Undergraduate students enrolled in qualified institutions can hold an affiliate position in the branch.
Newsletter: Articles for the Newsletter need to be to Roseann Krane immediately.
Interest Groups: Movie and Lunch-February 22nd movie and lunch place to be announced. Gourmet-The next gourmet dinner is set for March 11th. It will be an Irish theme
Old Business: Our high school scholarship will remain at $500. We will be sending 3 students this year to Tech Trek with the support of the Clayton Business Association.
New Business: The state convention will be held this year April 28th 29th and 30th in San Jose. Anyone interested in attending contact JoAnn or Allegra.
Next Board meeting will be March 6th at Allegra Mills home.
