Board Meeting

October 3, 2005

Present:  Allegra Mills, Joan Chesterman , Barbara Fogerson, Jill Day, Kay Lane , Joyce

Atkinson, Mary Ann Hayes , Sandi Watson, Jeanne Boyd, Luz Argyriou, Helen Rahimzadeh, Dana McDaniel.

Call to Order:  The meeting was called to order at 7:40 pm by  co-president Allegra Mills.

Additions to Agenda:  Kay Lane reported  that the CBCA voted in favor of giving $1500 to the branch to pay for 2 Tech Track Students to the camp.

Special Appreciation: was mentioned by Allegra Mills to Roseann Krane for a wonderful job on the website and to Jennifer Jay for the orientation brochure.

Treasurer’s Report: The treasurer presented the report from the Fashion Show outlining income/expenses and showed an income of $757.88 was made from the event.  Members discussion followed and recommended that since many donations were received and it would be helpful if these donations were itemized specifically  so that it could be referenced and useful information for when the event is held again next year to give an accurate amount of possible expenses.

Membership Treasurer: No report given—

Program: Luz Argyriou reported that there were 89 tickets sold for the fashion show, she thanked all the members of the branch for their cooperation and generosity for donating such nice food and other items which helped make the   event successful.

Membership:  No report given. Mentioned the Oct 21st-open house at Julia Garcia’s home and please contact Julia or Jean Cain with prospective new members.

EF- Fellows Lunch will be held on October 23,2005

LAF-No report given.

Library- Jeanne Boyd passed out flyers and asked for volunteers to help with the Book Sale on Oct 14-16 at the library.

Public Policy: no report but reported that on Oct 19- The League of Womens Voters were sponsoring a discussion at Diamond Terrace.

 

Other Business:

-Tree decorating at Diamond Terrace to be discussed at next months agenda.

-Nominating committee election at Oct 17 meeting nominate-include 2 board members nominated by the board possible names mentioned were Jean Cain, Diane Rogers, and  Allegra would call Marilyn Schmidt. Also 3 members nominated by general membership-no names mentioned.

-IBC-  Nov 22 at Ygnacio Valley Library our branch to host.

-21st Century Application Program VPs in charge take to Jennifer Jay

-Clayton owes IBC dues treasurer will give check to take care

-Historian—Barbara Fogerson has been collecting items.

The next board meeting will be held on Nov 7, 2005 at 7:30 pm at JoAnn Caspar’s home.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:50 pm .
